As a freelance consultant; Skinz has guided some of todays most cutting edge brands and socially minded organizations through complete identity overhauls. His unique design sensibilities and ‘whole systems’ approach appeal to a new generation of forward thinking social entrepreneurs and awakened consumers.
A self-described ‘Ecolutionary’ Skinz cofounded KNOWaste™ “a non-profit sustainable waste management service located in ABQ, New Mexico”. He is also a cofounder of Pure Habitat™, “an eco-friendly cleaning service that has been helping New York City ‘go green’ for over a decade”.
Skinz is a certified master composter and holds multiple certifications in permaculture design. In 2007, Skinz helped re-design the Sivananda Ashram; one of the first Yoga Ashrams to apply permaculture principles to their entire 70 acre ranch. In 2009 Skinz served as a guest judge for the New York City Housing Authority’s urban-gardening competition.
As a renowned advocate of spontanous public art installations and a contributing member of the global aerosol art community; Skinz has participated in several international art festivals, including… Art Basel -Miami, Kosmopolite -Paris, the Aotearoa hip hop summit -Auckland, and the Meeting of Styles -Montreal.
Serving as both design director for Hi-Arts, “a non-profit organization for hip hop and urban culture in East Harlem” and as on-going design consultant for Soilutions Inc., “a commercial scale organics recycling facility in New Mexico”; Skinz possesses an innate ability to bridge worlds that are seemingly contrasted yet intrinsically connected.
Having completed his studies with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute. Skinz strives to serve humanity and the world by incorporating Ayurvedic lifestyle principles and ‘whole systems thinking’ into his personal life and into the work he offers his clients. These ideals continue to keep his career at the forefront of art, design, health and sustainability.
